The current office of Burney's Septic was once the house where Ed lived in. He raised his three children there, and two of them would later go on to continue the family trade of providing quality septic services.
Our original founder, Edison E. Burney was a native and lifelong resident of St. Augustine, FL. His wife, Myrtle, also resided with him. Ed served in the US Coast Guard during World War II, and after the war he learned brick masonry work, which eventually evolved into septic work in 1944.
Ed founded Burney's in 1944 and it's been family-owned and operated ever since then. In life, Ed was a member of Masonic Ashlar Lodge No. 98 and was also an avid hunter.
Burney's Septic in now managed by Keith Burney, the third generation to take over the company.
The business has been family owned and operated for over 70 years. Our motto has always been "Keep on Flushin'" and we intend to do just that!
